Main Wine & Spirit Steelers 5, Cheektowaga Warriors 4

Fredonia had a come from behind win, scoring three goals in the final period to defeat the Warriors. Gabe Schrader opened the scoring for the Steelers in the first period while Ethan Brunner scored in the second. Brunner went on to score again at the 5:14 mark in the third period followed by Joseph Newton’s goal at the 3:48 mark. Going in to the final two minutes of the game tied at 4-4, Brunner scored on a pass from Schrader to win the game.

Assists were tallied by Alex Rush, Zach Korzeniewski, Brunner(two) and Schrader (two).

The defense did not let up a goal the entire third period. Leading the strong defense was Lauren Marshall and Nick Frazier. Cooper Harris was the winning goalie.

Gamerz Haven Steelers 3, Bradford 1

Zach Korzeniewski led the Steelers with two goals while Alex Rush scored the other goal, short-handed. Gabe Schrader and Ethan Brunner each had an assist in the win.

Cooper Harris and Jack Storm played solid defense for the Steelers while Austin Rott earned the win in net.

Lil MaGills 1

Scorers for Heenan’s were Justin Giles, Ron Pachol, Derek Jordan, Cory Dziduch and Phil DiFrancisco. Contributing with assists were DiFrancisco, Josh Polak, John Polak and Dave Wright. Jerry Tramuta scored the lone goal for Lil MaGills, assisted by Mark Zaffalon and Chris Mulkin.

Chris Shurr had two goals and Mark Zaffalon had a goal and three assists in the win over BJ’s. Rob Bajdas had a goal and two assists, Andy Harrington had one goal, and Jerry Tramuta had one assist. Drew Yelich had two goals for BJ’s, and Brian Wojcinski picked up a goal and an assist. Mike Nelson and Tom O’Connor Jr. had an assist each to complete the scoring. Chris McCracken was the victor in net, while Sam Leone took the loss.

CCHA Senior Men’s League – B Division

Roswell/Cliffstar 3, Heenan’s 2

Derek Backert, Byron VanZile and Jeff Rhodes were the scorers for Roswell while Matt Dorler had a pair of assists. Dave Wright had both goals for Heenan’s with assists from Joe Crino, Matt Bromberg (two) and Tony Manzella.

Gary Shain had the shut-out in this high-scoring game against Roswell. Tony Manzella had a natural hat trick and a pair of assists. Greg McQuiggan also had a hat trick and one assist. Derek Sheridan had two goals and two assists, Matt Bromberg had two goals and one assist, Dave Wright put in one goal and added two assists and Jeff Jamieson had one goal and one assist. Jeff Huyck and Fred McCabe had two assists each while and Don Bley, Ron Pachol and Joe Crino each had one.

CCHA Senior Men’s League – C Division

Coughlin’s 3,

Wicked Glen 3

The two teams traded goals through the game, which ended in a tie. Sean Stamer and Simon Pasnik scored for Coughlin’s with assists from Ken Purdy and Justin Jakubowicz. Putting points up for the Glen were Bobby Brown, Joe Geerkin and Steve Olson with assists from John Weisse, Geerkin and Drew Carriero.

EBC 5, Beaver Club 3

It was dubbed Beaver Club Fan Appreciation Night, but EBC was unable to deliver a win for their fans. Goals were scored by Tucker Krauza, Wes Buehler and Jim Rozen with helpers from Matt Krauza and Luke Buehler.

Scores for EBC came from Chris Irwan, Scott Johnson, Ryan Simon, Jason DeJoe, and Shawn Nowicki. Assists were contributed by Keith Mages (two), Irwan (two), Nowicki (two) and Simon.

Chris Irwan had two goals and one assist in EBC’s win over Wicked Glen. Ryan Simon had two goals, Brian Nichols and Rick Simon each had a goal and an assist and Joe Hallmark Jr. had one goal. Keith Mages had two assists and Jason DeJoe had one. Points for the Glen came from Tony Privitera, with assists from Bill Powell and Drew Carriero.
