Kubera bowls Marauders to sweep of Golden?Falcons

JAMESTOWN – Alex Kubera cracked a 189-218-189-596 as the Dunkirk Marauders (14-10) handled Falconer (2-22), 4-0, in CCAA Division 1 boys high school bowling.

The Marauders combined for a 850-902-794-2,546 while the Golden Falcons shot a 770-742-738-2,256 at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Elisha Haase contributed in the win with a 202 while Peter Kubera charted a 182 in the win.

Falconer was led by Weston Young’s 217-502 and Sam Ruttenburg’s 170.

In the girls’ match, Dunkirk (12-12) also swept Falconer, 4-0.

The Lady Marauders’ linescore read Dunkirk 649-697-701-2,047 while Falconer shot a 479-486-523-1,488.

Hannah Schnur led Dunkirk with a 183-458 while Katie Michalski shot a 152 and Andrianna Pencek bowled a 156. Caitlyn Chase finished with a 156 for the winners.

Falconer’s top bowler was Jessica Fieblekorn with a 132.

Bulldogs silence?Pirates

The Brocton Bulldogs (29-7) rolled past the Clymer Pirates (7-25), 4-0, Wednesday, during CCAA Division 2 boys’ bowling action at Lucky Lanes.

Brocton finished with a linescore of 807-790-827-2,424 to Clymer’s 560-704-706-1,970, behind John Nickerson’s 218-177-568. Also for the Bulldogs, Taylor Delcamp rolled a 206 while Andy Morello charted a 196.

For Clymer, Sam VanValkenburg rolled a 179 and David Applebee a 173-469.

The Bulldogs will be at Frewsburg on Jan. 9.
