Laura Mae Stonefoot

Laura Mae Stonefoot (Merrill), 93, died January 3, 2013 at Brooks Memorial Hospital following a brief

illness. She was born February 25, 1919 in East Otto, New York and was a lifelong resident of Fredonia, NY.

Laura was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, the Golden Sceptre Rebekah Lodge, the Friendly 36 Club, the Share-and-Care Seniors, and other civic and religious organizations. In June of 1941 she married Frederick T. Stonefoot. They were married for over 70 years until his death in November of

2011. In addition to her husband, Laura was predeceased by her parents, Jenness and Lola Merrill, as

well as her brothers John Merrill and Jenness Merrill. She is survived by her daughters: Rianna (Barry)

Moore and Karen (Joshua) Logan; grandsons: John (Kimberly) Logan and Ethan Logan; greatgrandchildren John James (JJ) and Haley Maeve Logan. Family and friends may call at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral

Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, NY, Sunday, January 6, 2013, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be

held at the First United Methodist Church of Fredonia, 25 Church Street, Fredonia, NY, Monday January 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at the Laona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Stonefoot’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, The Fredonia Fire Dept., or Brooks Memorial Hospital.
