Friday deadline for Pomfret residents
Friday is the last day for town of Pomfret residents located in the North End Water District to submit applications to connect to the first phase of the project without incurring a fee. Applications may be turned in to the clerk’s office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Any applications submitted after Friday will be subject to a fee of $250.

pre-school story hour, early elementary
The Ahira Hall Memorial Library will host Pre-School Story Hour with Mary Ellen Westin and Susan Raymond on Friday at 10 a.m. The theme will be winter. Note the new day and time for the story hour.
Later in the afternoon at 2:45 p.m., the library will host the early elementary program for grades pre-K through first grades with library staff and volunteers. The theme for this event will be winter fun.

Brocton Library to feature art exhibit
The Ahira Hall Memorial Library’s Art at the Library Exhibition Series will present Inspired by Nature, works by Lucy Andrus. The exhibit will open Monday and run through Feb. 2. The library is located at 37 E. Main St., Brocton.
