CCIDA meets Tuesday
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the CCIDA board room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown
Westfield Fire sets dinner
The Westfield Fire Department is planning a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Westfield Exempt Hall, 75 Bourne St. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 per child. Proceeds benefit the 2013 Firemen’s Convention.
Ripley School board meets Thursday
A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District and a presentation on tuitioning will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the small gymnasium of the Ripley Central School for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board.
Pub Crawl fundraiser Jan. 19
On Jan. 19, The Balloon Crew Walk MS Team will host a pirate-themed Pub Crawl fundraiser. Pillage in the Village will run from 9 p.m. until midnight in downtown Fredonia. Registration starts at 8:45 p.m. at Heenan’s. Cost is $15 per pirate which includes food and prize drawings. Get out your pirate attire and come on out for a good time to help a great cause.
Pirates must be at least 21 years of age to take part in this event. Be sure to vote for the Baddest Bar Wench in participating Pirate Pubs (Heenan’s, 41 West, Valentine’s and Lil’ MaGill’s).
The Balloon Crew Walk MS Team is sponsored by The Paper Factory. They host several team fundraisers throughout the year. All proceeds benefit The National MS Society.
Adams Art Gallery calls for artists
The Adams Art Gallery of Dunkirk is planning an animal art-based show. The gallery is working alongside the Lakeshore Humane Society in order to raise money for both the arts and the animals.

The drop-off dates for artwork ranges from Jan. 28 through Feb. 1 by appointment or during regular hours on Thursdays and Fridays.
The opening is Feb. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. All are welcome to attend and support local non-profit organizations.
