Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Przybycien

Sara Danielle Shapiro and Andrew Richard Przybycien were united in marriage on Oct. 7, 2012, at Brierwood Country Club in Hamburg. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by David Hosking, uncle of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Jacqueline Shapiro and the late Jack Shapiro of Amherst. The groom is the son of Frank and Marlene Przybycien of Dunkirk.

The bride was escorted by her brother, Shawn Shapiro of Tonawanda. She wore a white strapless, satin gown, with crystal beading on the bodice, fitted rouching at the waist and featured a corset back with a semi cathedral train. Her fingertip veil was edged with crystal beading. She carried a bouquet of white lilies, green kermit poms, gerbera daisies, light purple asters and dark purple lisianthus.

The bride’s sister, Stacey Shapiro of Amherst, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included friends of the bride Heather Coleman of Lockport, Amy Hamilton of Lewiston and LaPorscha Black of Buffalo, as well as cousin of the bride, Lindsey Barrett of Sarasota, Fla. They wore cocktail-length satin dresses in eggplant, designed with a banded waist and single shoulder strap.

Brian Krzyzan of Buffalo served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Przybycien, brother of the groom, and David Boyda, the groom’s brother-in-law; both of Dunkirk; Jon Hamilton of Lewiston and Adam Frenz of North Collins, friends of the groom.

Readings were given by Nichole Coleman, niece of the groom, and Ashley Shapiro, sister-in- law of the bride. Ceremony music was provided by String Brothers of Amherst.

A reception followed at Brierwood Country Club, where the bride and groom paid special tribute to the bride’s father with a twilight release of a lighted memorial luminary.

The bride is employed as a NCCC-YALT Program team leader for People, Inc. The groom is a senior technical consultant for Erie 1 BOCES-WNYRIC.

The couple’s honeymoon included a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean followed by a visit to Walt Disney World. They currently reside in Buffalo.
