Brocton and Westfield boards meet Wednesday

The Brocton Central School Board of Education will hold a special board meeting with the Westfield Academy and Central School Board of Education Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the large group room to receive an interim report from the Western New York Educa-tional Service Council in relation to the merger study.

Spaghetti dinner

The Chautauqua County 4H Beef & Heifer Project’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser is Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the Fluvanna Firehall, Fluvanna Avenue Ext. Joe Conti’s famous spaghetti dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Tickets will be available at the door.

Reunion meeting

The CMHS/DHS Class of 1968 Reunion Committee will meet Tuesday at 21 Finch St., Dunkirk at 7 p.m. The group will be addressing postcards for class members and discussing menus. Any classmates interested are welcome to attend

Board of health meets Thursday

The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, 4th Floor Conference Room, Mayville.

January is National Blood Donor Month

January is National Blood Donor Month, a time when the American Red Cross recognizes and thanks dedicated blood and platelet donors across the United States for helping to ensure a stable blood supply.

Tuesday – First United Church, Silver Creek, noon to 5 p.m.

Jan. 21 – Blessed Mary Angela RC Church, Dunkirk, noon to 6 p.m.

Jan 28 – Chautauqua Suites, Mayville, 12-5 p.m.

Jan 29 & 30 – JCC Jamestown Student Lounge, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jan 30 – Sheridan Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2 to 7 p.m.

Library trustees to meet

The annual meeting of the Anderson-Lee Library board of trustees will be Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. at the library, 41 Main St., Silver Creek.

Help with yard work and odd jobs

Westfield residents needing help with yard work, snow shoveling and odd jobs are asked to call the Westfield Recreation Department at 326-4243.
