Agnes M. DuBois

Agnes M. DuBois, 88, of Fredonia, formerly of Glasgow Rd., Cassadaga, died Fri. Jan, 11, 2013 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 23, 1924 in Jamestown daughter of the late Alice Pierce Derby and Reginald Nickerson. She was a graduate of Cassada-ga Valley Central School and Dunkirk Business School.

Agnes was employed as a bookkeeper at various car dealerships throughout the area and also assisted with the family business, Auto-motive Electric and Machine Company and DuBois Auto Electric.

She was a devoted moth-er, grandmother and great-grandmother. Agnes spent her retirement years listening to country music, reading, watching and feeding birds and camping with her kids and grandkids.

Wife of 47 years to the late Albert B. DuBois whom she married Oct. 25, 1947 and died July 16, 1994; mother of Linda J. (Patrick Barry) Jarvis of Fredonia with who she made her home, James A. (Michele Laskey) DuBois of Cassa-daga and the late Mary A. Lewetzki, Oct. 14, 2010; mother in law of Kevin Lewetzki of Cassadaga; grandmother of Marie Mil-liman, Richard J. (Heather) Jarvis and James DuBois all of Cassadaga, Maureen L. (Jory) Lake of Emmaus, PA, Lauralee Lewetzki of Brocton, Patrick (Amanda Hornburg) Lewetzki of Portland, Kellie (Warren Yokom) Lewetzki of Cheektowaga, Brandon (Tabatha Sasek) DuBois of Chandler, AZ and Jeremiah DuBois of TX; great-grandmother of Montanna Pope, D.J. Odelbral-ski, Griffin and Austin Lake, Remington and Ryker Jarvis, Keilana and Kaevon Mosley, Ava Marie Millett, Camille Epolito, Skylor DuBois, Ethan, Reilly and Kyla Hornburg, and Dillon Laskey; sister of Robert (Shirley) Nickerson and David Derby all of Cassadaga, Jack (Anita) LeBarron of Inglis, FL., Leon (Bonnie) Lebarron of Ruskin, FL., Ronald Nickerson of CO. and the late Alton, Lawrence, Duane and Re-ginald Nickerson Jr., Donald, Leon Jr. and War-ren Derby, Norma Finucane and Mary Schrader; sister in law of Judy Dasher of Brocton and Evelyn Du-Bois of Fredonia. Agnes was also the sister-in-law/ step sister to Natalie Nickerson and Donna Nickerson, both of Fredonia.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews includ-ing a “special” niece Lauren (George) Davis of Ripley who helped care for her the past three years.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation was held 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Cassadaga Cemetery.
