Big Daddy Basketball City League

The last day to enroll teams into the Big Daddy Basketball City League will be Thursday, Jan. 24 at a 6 p.m. meeting at Big Daddys.

All captains are asked to attend with a full roster.

Sports Hall of Fame Banquet Seeks Nominations

The 11th Annual Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 23 at the Little Valley Legion beginning at 6 p.m.

One representative from each school district will be honored for the their dedication and contribution to sports within the County.

Nominations for this year’s class of honorees will be accepted through Feb. 1.

If any coach, sports official, school administrator or athlete from the county would like to nominate a candidate who has at least 15 years of service in sports, call Mark Benton at 532-4053 before the deadline.

Nominations with person’s name, address and phone number can also be emailed to: before Feb. 1.

DHS Baseball to host Comedy Night

The Dunkirk High School baseball team will be holding a Comedy Night tonight at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the show starting at 7.

Featured comedians will include Nick Siracuse, Ralph Tetta and Ray Silva. Tickets for the event, which will include a Chinese Auction, will be available at Matt’s News, DHS, from any parent of a player, or from head coach Frank Jagoda.
