Susan M. Blackmore
Susan M. Blackmore passed away at her home in Fredonia, N.Y. following a brief illness.
She was born in 1948 in Dunkirk, N.Y. to the late Thomas G. and Marian (Brown) Blackmore.
Susan graduated from Brocton Central High School and attended James-town Business College. Since 1977, until her untimely death, she was employed at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk, N.Y.
She had a lifelong fondness for animals, was an accomplished church organist, and a medical transcriptionist. Sutra’s sense of humor was renowned as were her baking abilities, especially her oatmeal raisin cookies. She was an avid basketball fan.
Susan is survived by her companion, Daniel Waite, her sisters Mary Ann Jansons-Herrera of Chicago, Ill. and Jean Black-more of Fredonia, N.Y., two nieces and one nephew.
The family will hold a Memorial Service for Susan at the Chautauqua County Home that will be announced by the Fantauzzi Funeral Home 82 East Main St., Fredonia, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St. Dunkirk, N.Y. would be gratefully appreciated by Susan’s family.
