Lena I. Mason

RANDOLPH – Lena I. Mason, 87, of 40 E. Main Street, Randolph Manor, Randolph, NY, passed away at 3:15 A.M. Monday, January 21, 2013 in Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.

She was born August 29, 1925 in Caneadea, NY the daughter of the late Clayton and Bessie Wing Wray. She was a graduate of Wayland High School, Wayland, NY and was a homemaker.

Lena was a member of the Conewango Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and her greatest joy in life was to help people by sharing the Bible truths and teachings of Jehovah God. She also enjoyed writing poems, music, drawing, painting and planting flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, Bernice M. Will and husband Robert of Leon, NY, Linda A. Bates and husband David of Randolph; a son, Victor W. Mason and wife Kathy of St. Paul, MN; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Wray of Sheridan, David Wray and wife Ruth of Angelica, James Wray and wife Linda of Dewittville and John Wray and wife Linda of Mt. Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Mason in 1955 and two sisters; Bernice and Betty Jean.

A memorial service will be held in the Conewango Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday (February 2, 2013) at 1:30 P.M., David Boughton will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery in Wesley, NY.
