City sidewalk program applications

The City of Dunkirk Department of Public Works is now accepting applications for the 2013 Sidewalk Replacement Program. Residents can call the office at 366-9832 or stop by to complete an application during normal business hours. Applicants who applied for last year’s program, but did not participate, must reapply this season. Applications are not carried over from last year. The program is on a first come, first serve basis until available funds are exhausted. Approval letters for program participants will be mailed in the spring after a pre-inspection is completed.

The program covers only the main pedestrian sidewalk fronting the residence. Applicants are requested to have some idea as to how much sidewalk they wish to replace under the program. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Public Works Office.
