Learn to fix a culinary mishap in a snap

On Feb. 3, Faith Woolson and the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry (CCRM) will offer a Cooking and Nutrition workshop entitled “Oops! Preventing and Fixing Common Cooking Mistakes.” Woolson is an experienced home cook and cooking workshop host, both with CCRM and other community organizations.

The workshop will consist of three segments: easy-to-remember ways to avoid cooking blunders; how to fix mistakes if they happen; and substitutions one can use if missing an important ingredient. Participants will enjoy a full meal, cooking demonstration, and will take home a free gift and recipes. Individuals are encouraged to share their own relevant cooking experiences and bring questions.

Workshops are free of charge; all are welcome. This class will take place at the Friendly Kitchen, 131 Central Ave., Dunkirk. To RSVP, contact Sarah Sorci at 366-1787 by Friday, Feb 1. These workshops are made possible by the support of the NYS Department of Health, Division of Nutrition. CCRM is a United Way Community Partner.
