Instructors: Touching lives for 25 years
Two local heroes were recently honored by the Office of Lifelong Learning and Special Programs at Fredonia State University.
Both Mike Valvo of Forestville and Mike Pryzybycien received plaques for their more than 75 years of service as an emergency medical technician instructor. While Valvo has retired, Pryzybycien will retire at the end of the next course.
Stephen Cobb, instructor and coordinator of the EMT training program noted “these two individuals have dedicated much of their lives to serving their communities and instructing new EMTs. They have performed these tasks with a very high degree of professionalism. They will be sorely missed from the training program.”
Our thanks to the instructors. Over those 75 years, the number of lives they have impacted in our area has to be tremendous.
