Those favoring Home sale ‘uncharitable’

Editor, OBSERVER:

In regard to the Chautauqua County Home, there is a vital word that should be deeply pondered, and that word is “charity.”

The dictionary definition of “charity” states that it is the providing of help to the poor; that it is also the public provision for the poor.

Unfortunately, the county executive and his political allies can now be accurately perceived as uncharitable! They appear determined to divest themselves of the moral and ethical governmental duty to protect and aid the weakest and oldest of our citizens.

Is that the legacy of County Executive Greg Edwards and his allies?
