Porterfield takes first at CCAA?Championships

OLEAN – Reed Porterfield turned in a first-place performance Tuesday at the CCAA Boys Swimming and Diving Championships at Olean High School.

Porterfield took first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.65 – nearly five seconds faster than the second-place finisher. He also took third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:14.44.

Teammate Jacob Brown placed fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of :24.07. He also placed second in the 100 freestyle, as he finished with a time of 53.51.

Dunkirk’s Peter Kubera placed third in the diving as he scored 314 points. Also for Dunkirk, Charles Medema placed fifth in the 100 butterfly as he touched the wall in 1:03.99.

The Hillbillies finished in sixth place in team scores with 109. Dunkirk placed seventh with 60.
