Adams Art Gallery show on animals to benefit Lakeshore Humane Society

The Adams Art Gallery and the Lakeshore Humane Society are collaborating to benefit both the arts and animals. The exhibit, “The Art of Animal Love,” will feature art inspired by animals created by local artists. A special reception for the show will be held Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Adams Art Gallery, 600 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Artists and members of the Lakeshore Humane Society will be on hand to answer questions. Proceeds of art sales benefit the artists and the art gallery. Additionally, many of the artists are making donations from sales to the LHS. There will also be a bake sale to benefit the LHS.

The exhibit runs from Feb. 4 through 22. Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and by appointment at Confirmed artists include Jennifer Mack of Jamestown, Susan TeWinkle Wolfe of Sherman, Trinton Garrett of Buffalo, Audrey Schaffer of Dunkirk, Ann Bowers of Fredonia, Stephanie Brash of Fredonia and many, many more. Anyone who is interested in immortalizing their beloved pet can chat with their favorite artist. Many of the artists will create commission works.
