Dunkirk Free Library seeks board members

Dunkirk Free Library seeks residents who are interested in serving on the Library Board of Directors.

Interested applicants should have a passion for libraries and the services they provide the community, as well as the ability to effectively advocate for the Dunkirk Free Library. The library is especially looking for people who have skills in technology, finances, public relations and other skills beneficial to ensuring a healthy future for the library.

Individuals interested in serving on Dunkirk Free Library’s behalf should send or email a letter of intent, as well as the completed application, on or before close of business on March 15.

Blood analysis March 2 at Westfield Moose Club

The AMBA Community Wellness Blood Analysis will be held March 2 at the Westfield Moose Club, 19 Clinton St., Westfield, from 6 to 10 a.m. Call 1-800-234-8888 for an appointment. The cost is $38, cash or check payable to AMBA and $5 service charge, cash or check payable to Westfield Area Comm. Service Org.

The test is for coronary disease, diabetes, anemia, kidney disease, liver disease, with 38 various tests in total. PSA, thyroxine colon rectal, and cardio CRP require a separate doctor’s order and separate cost.

Spaghetti dinner Feb. 28 to help World Vision

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at SUNY Fredonia is fundraising for World Vision’s caregiver kit building project. These kits are filled with medical supplies to enable caregivers to tend to those living with AIDS in Latin America, Asia and Africa.

To do this project, InterVarsity needs to order at least 50 kits at $22 each. A spaghetti dinner will be held Feb. 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Harvest Chapel. The dinner costs $7 and includes a beverage, spaghetti, salad, and a roll. Children 4-10 can eat for $4 per plate and children under 3 eat for free.
