Fredonia vs. CSAT Boys Basketball
The Fredonia vs. CSAT Section 6 Class B-2 semifinal boys’ basketball game will be played Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Buffalo State, not 6 p.m. as was reported in Saturday’s edition of the OBSERVER.
The Northern Chautauqua Club Association will not be holding a breakfast open to the public today. The breakfast is a part of the normal monthly meeting of the club, with Undersheriff Holder attending as a guest speaker. The information had been incorrectly reported by the OBSERVER in Thursday’s edition of The Sportsman’s Journal.
Dunkirk Baseball Spaghetti Dinner
There will be a spaghetti dinner today, at the Dunkirk Moose from noon to 4 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Dunkirk varsity baseball program.
Tickets are available from any varsity parent, coach Frank Jagoda at the Middle School and at Matt’s News.

FHS Spectator Bus
The Fredonia High School Student Council will be sponsoring a spectator bus for students for the boys’ basketball playoff game at Buffalo State on Monday.
The cost is $8, which includes the ticket to get into the game. Students should bring the money and a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian to the Lockerstop Monday morning.
Students participating should plan to meet in the high school lobby at 3:30 p.m.
Brocton-Portland Little League will hold registration for the 2013 season at the Ahira Hall Memorial Library in Brocton on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
T-ball is open to players ages 4-7 and both softball and baseball is available for ages 7-12. All players must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to registration, and first-time players must bring a copy of their birth certificate to sign-ups.
Teens and adults interested in coaching or volunteering with BPLL must provide a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.

Fredonia Little League
Fredonia Little League will hold registration for baseball and softball Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 6-9 p.m., in the Fredonia High School cafeteria.
Registration will be held for the following division: Boys’ and girls’ T-ball (ages 4-6), boys’ &’ girls Hathaway League (ages 6-8), Cerrie League baseball (ages 8-9) and Wright League baseball (ages 10-12).
In the softball division, registration will be held for teams in the Minor League (ages 79) and Major League (ages 10-12). New this year is Senior League Baseball for ages 1316.
You must be a resident of the Fredonia Central School District to register for any of the leagues.
The cost is $55 for the Wright, Cerrie, Hathaway and softball leagues and $40 for T-ball leagues. Senior League baseball is $60. There is a cap of $125 per family for players under 12. This cap does not include the fundraiser or Senior League play.
All new and returning players must register and a copy of a birth certificate is required for all new players.
Coaching and umpire applications will also be accepted at the registration sessions. All coaching applications, accompanied by a copy of a driver’s license, must be received by the FLL Board of Directors by March 4, in order to be considered for a coaching position.

Registration for the 2013 baseball season will be Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m. in the Westfield Academy and Central School cafeteria.
Baseball is open to those who will be 4 years old and will not reach 13 years of age before May 1, 2013. Softball is open to those who will be 9 years old and will not reach 13 years of age before Jan. 1, 2013.
All players must register with a parent or guardian present while newcomers must bring a copy of their birth certificate to registration. The fee is $35 per player for all age groups. Families with three or more players will pay a maximum of $100. Players must participate in the league fundraiser or pay the buyout fee.
Westfield Little League is also looking for volunteers to serve as managers, coaches and team parents during registration. Those interested will need to fill out a form and provide a copy of a valid driver’s license.
