14 Tonawanda ghost hunters charged with trespassing
PERRYSBURG – Four-teen people from Tona-wanda hunting for ghosts on the J.N. Adam Site were charged Sunday at about 2 a.m. with trespassing. Ages of those charged ranged from 16 to 20.
The site is the former hospital for the Western New York Office of Disability Development located about five miles southwest of Gowanda in Cattaraugus County.
Troopers received a tip from a local resident that footprints and tire tracks from an unauthorized vehicle had been located at the Perrysburg water reservoir on Peck Hill Road Saturday morning. While troopers were investigating two unoccupied vehicles at the reservoir a third vehicle arrived at the location. The four occupants of that vehicle were interviewed, leading to the identities of all 14 individuals.
Charged were: McKayla M. Lyons, 16, Jessica L. Fetterhoff, 16, Michael A. DiSalvo, 16, Tyler R. Smith, 16, Cory J. Compeau, 17, Ryan D. Smith, 18, Albert G. Butzer IV, 18, Christina M. Ogorchock, 18, Chelsea M. Simmance, 19, Michael J. Giuga, 19, Stephen R. Linderman, 19, Joseph M. Schneider, 19, John T. Schwab, 19, and Brandon P. Smith, 20.
