On Friday, state police charged Louis Landy, 27, of Colfax Street in the City of Jamestown for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Landy was reportedly stopped for speeding in the Town of Carroll.
While speaking to the driver, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana. When asked about the odor, Landy allegedly surrendered a baggie containing 5 grams of the substance.
Landy was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled for the Town of Carroll Court on March 5.
On Saturday, Shawn Didomenico, 38, of East Elmwood Street in the Town of Ellicott was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Didomenico was stopped for a loud exhaust in the City of Jamestown. Troopers observed him dropping a plastic baggie containing about one gram of cocaine.
He was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown and held pending arraignment in the City of Jamestown Court.
ELLICOTT – On Sunday, Matthew Minekime, 33, of Harmon Street in the Town of Ellicott was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Minekime reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign on East Elmwood Avenue. After reportedly failing field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody and transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown.
He provided a breath sample reported to be .10 percent.
He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court on March 5.
