Towel Bingo to be held March 17

The Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority in Brocton will hold its annual Towel Bingo on March 17 from 1-4 p.m. at the Brocton American Legion on Main Street in Brocton.

Prizes, silent auction, 50-50 and refreshments will be served.

County Planning Board to meet Tuesday

The next meeting of the Chautauqua County Planning Board has been scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Westfield Village Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield.

Photography club meets tonight

The first meeting of the new photography club, organized by Niles Dening, will be held on today at 6:15 p.m., at the Anderson-Lee Library.

This will be an organizational meeting. Topics of discussion will include: meeting times and frequency; format of meetings; focus of club; naming the club.

The club is open to anyone with a genuine interest in photography. There are no age or ability restrictions, but each member should own a digital camera.

Soup supper today at Westfield church

The Westfield Memorial Hospital Regional Auxiliary is inviting everyone to come to its first-ever soup supper. The event will be held today at the First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, between 5 and 7 p.m.

Fifteen delicious homemade soups will be on the menu, made by the members of the WMH Auxiliary Board. Those attending may sample as many as they choose. Rounding out the menu will be bread, beverages and an array of homemade desserts.

The cost for this chill-chasing meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children. There is a flat $20 fee for families of four or more.

All proceeds will be used to further the WMH Auxiliary refurbishing projects at the hospital.

Lakeshore Humane Society plans Pet Adoption Day/Open House Saturday

The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold a Pet Adoption Day/Open House at its Adoption Center on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The center is located at 431 E. Chestnut Street, Dunkirk.

Come to meet some of the dogs and cats who need caring homes.
