Fredonia Police

Wendell L. Wagner, 17, of Maple Avenue was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol March 1.

Marcello E. Capalbo, 20, was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol on March 1.

Michael Sanchez, 19, of Hemingway Hall, SUNY Fredonia was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of alcohol on March 2.

Jenna Bulmahn, 19, of Williamsville was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and having an open container on March 3.

Joshua R. Hayes, 25, of Brigham Road was charged with having an open container on March 3 with a bench warrant.

Meredith E. Leikam, 35, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on March 4.

Man charged with criminal contempt

On Tuesday, Joseph J. Casel, 41, of 178 Hallock St. in Jamestown, was detained by state troopers in Jamestown for first-degree criminal contempt, a felony.

Casel is accused of violating an order of protection issued by the Town of Chautauqua Court on July 20. The court ordered him to refrain from contacting a female victim. Reportedly, Casel violated the order by contacting her by cellphone after an appearance in the Chautauqua County Family Court in Jamestown.

The action is elevated to a felony when a person has previously been convicted of criminal contempt in the first or second degree within the preceding five years. A check with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services indicated Casel was convicted of second-degree criminal contempt on July 20.

Casel was processed at the state police barracks in Jamestown, arraigned in the City of Jamestown Court, and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

KIANTONE – Timo-thy Himes, 34, of Frews-burg, was charged early Tuesday morning with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Himes allegedly failed to keep right and lost control of his vehicle resulting in it overturning on the side of the road Route 62 at 12:56 a.m. Himes suffered minor injuries and was transported to WCA Hospital by the Kiantone Fire Department. Investigation led to the DWI charges. Himes was issued tickets and will appear in Kiantone Town Court at a later date.

Jamestown Police

JAMESTOWN – Stac-ey L. Simmers, 31, of Warren, Pa., was charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree conspiracy on Tuesday.

Simmers was wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred Saturday around 11 p.m. where a victim was assaulted and robbed on Charles Street in the city.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Jamestown City Court and Simmers was taken into custody around 1 a.m. She was sent to the city jail where she is being held pending arraignment.
