Helen J. Nosek
Helen J. Nosek, 92, of Fredonia, NY died suddenly Tuesday morning (March 5, 2013) at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk.
She was born May 1, 1920 in Proctor, Minn., the daughter of the late John and Elinora (Rogalski) Jugasek.
An area resident for most of her life, Mrs. Nosek was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading and playing cards.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda A. (Eugene) Rugani of Lancaster, NY; two sons, James (Ruby) Nosek and Philip (Linda) Nosek, both of Fredonia; one sister, Eleanor (Louis) Brassard of Proctor, Minn.; four grandchildren, Jeannine (Steven) Szumigala, Marc (Elizabeth) Rugani, Ethan Rugani and Ashley Nosek; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. Nosek, who died Oct. 1, 2008; and five brothers, Leo, Stanley, William, Joseph and Frank Jugasek.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Joseph Church in Fredonia. (Please use side entrance). Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
