Bullying expert to speak at Silver Creek School March 27
Silver Creek Central School presents speaker Barbara Coloroso on March 27 at 6:30 p.m. in high school auditorium. Coloroso is the author of “The Bully, The Bullied and The Bystander.” This event is free and open to members of the community. There will be supervised activities for students of the district. Musical at CVCS
The Cassadaga Valley High School will present the musical “The Brain from Planet X” on March 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 p.m. Cost for tickets is $6 for students and $8 for adults. For reserved seating, call 962-8581.
Spaghetti dinner at CVCS
A spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Soccer Boosters will be held Friday, March 15 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Dine in or take out, tickets are $7 pre-sale or $8 at the door.
For pre-sale tickets, contact Sandy Barker (499-2073) or any soccer player. Those attending can also attend the musical which begins at 7:30 p.m.
Ship 231 Navy Auxiliary to hold benefit spaghetti dinner
Ship 231 Navy Auxiliary will hold a Spaghetti Dinner on March 16 to benefit the Sullivan Division Sea Cadets. The event will be held at the Silver Creek VFW Post 6472 on Main Street in Silver Creek.
The Sea Cadets is a naval organization for 10 to 18 year olds. The main purpose of the organization is to encourage and aid American youth to develop and train them in seagoing skills, teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance, along with respect, self esteem and responsibility.
The Sea Cadets will be present in full uniform and will display their skills performing precision drills, flag folding etc.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12 and free for those under 4. The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on March 16. Tickets are available at the VFW Post 6472 and at the door.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Sullivan Sea Cadets to help them with the cost of uniforms, drill attendance and purchase of sea bags and other gear.
