Agricultural panel and open discussion to be held in Cattaraugus County
Agriculture is oftentimes neglected and even a forgotten driving force of Cattaraugus County’s economy. The Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board is hosting an open discussion and invites residents to come and share ideas on how we can protect and grow the agricultural component of our economy. The board will present a discussion on “What Does the Future Hold for Agriculture in Cattaraugus County?” on March 19 at 7 p.m. Great Valley Town Hall, 4808 Route 219.
A panel of local experts will each give brief comments on their view of the current status of agricultural in our County and the region. Residents are encouraged to come and share your questions and suggestions so the protection board can support those efforts that will grow agriculture in the county.
Dave Zilker, chairman of the Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, will then moderate an open discussion. Light refreshments will be available. For more information, contact Paul R. Bishop, senior planner, at 938-2369 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
