Liberty Vineyards brings home sunshine state gold
SHERIDAN – Liberty Vineyards & Winery, of Sheridan, earned a number of prestigious medals at the recent Florida State Fair International Wine Compe-tition. Four Liberty Vine-yards wines earned gold medals: Reds, Whites & Blues, a sweet rose wine; Chocolette, a chocolate-flavored dessert wine; Dia-mond, a semi-sweet white and Traminette, a semi-dry white.
“The wines that won medals really represent the diversity of wines we make,” said Beth Margolis, Marketing Manager at Liberty Vineyards & Winery. “We have a great wine for every taste and occasion. These gold medal winners illustrate that. Chocolette is a sweet dessert wine with natural chocolate flavor added – it is great to sip after dinner or pour over vanilla ice cream. Reds, Whites & Blues is our best-selling wine and people love it alone or made into Reds, Whites & Blues Sparkling Sangria. Diamond is a semi-sweet and another very popular choice – its a great wine to serve with seafood or fresh fruit. Our 2011 Traminette is a semi-dry white that is food-friendly and perfect for holiday meals – I like it in the Fall for Thanksgiving and in the Spring for Easter – it goes with everything from ham and turkey to spicy dishes,” Margolis continued.
Liberty Vineyards also received silver medals for its Lucy’s in the Sky, Trifection, Richter Red and Purple Haze wines in the competition.
