“Thoroughly Modern Millie” is a Tony Award-winning musical based on the 1960s film starring Julie Andrews. Set in 1922 Manhattan, the musical is the story of Millie Dillmount, a girl who moves to the big city from Kansas in hopes of leaving her old life behind and becoming a true modern in the Jazz Age. Along the way, she meets many hilarious and memorable characters. The show is filled with slapstick humor and show stopping dance numbers. Famous songs from the show include “Forget About the Boy,” “The Speed Test,” and “Gimme Gimme.”

Nearly 100 Fredonia students are involved in this production between the cast, pit orchestra, and backstage crew. Principal cast members include Michaela Tramuta (Millie Dillmount), Pat McCarthy (Jimmy Smith), Brianne Ihasz (Miss Dorothy Brown), Matt Civilette (Trevor Graydon), Keely Geise (Muzzy Van Hossmere), Kate Donithen (Mrs. Meers), Josh Tippens (Ching Ho), Nick Miller (Bun Foo), and Emma Storm (Miss Flannery).
