‘The Brain from Planet X’ musical opens Thursday

CASSADAGA – Twenty-million miles to Earth they’ve traveled… and not just to say “hello!” Cassadaga Valley High School will be showcasing a new musical and a tribute to the past this Friday through Sunday with “The Brain from Planet X.”

A hilarious musical send-up of cheesy ’50s sci-fi movies, “The Brain From Planet X” tells the story of an alien invasion in the year 1958. When an ill-intentioned band of interplanetary travelers arrives on Earth with a plot to take over the world, an average nuclear family is forced to defend the human race from will-bending extinction. Audiences are promised to quake with fear … shake with fright … and hurt their sides laughing thanks to this unique cast of colorful characters.

“The Brain from Planet X” is playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Cassadaga Valley High School. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults. Call 962-8581 for reserve seating.
