multiple charges after high-speed chase
CHERRY CREEK – According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted Ahren B. Morano, 28, of Stockton, on Mile Strip Road Wednesday around 6 p.m. Morano was wanted for grand larceny and unauthorized use of a vehicle in the town of Stockton, as well as possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle in the town of Ellery.
Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle operated by Morano when he fled. After a pursuit, deputies assisted by K-9 Drago stopped Morano in South Dayton. Morano was also charged with possession of marijuana, fleeing from a police office in a motor vehicle, second-degree aggravated operation, reckless driving, speeding, failure to keep right and violation of parole in the town of Cherry Creek. Morano is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

MAYVILLE – District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:
Juan G. Rivera, 28, of Westfield, was sentenced to 3 years determinate in state prison plus 2 years post-release supervision for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance consecutive to 1-3 years in prison for violation of probation and time served for second-degree criminal trespass.
Dexter A. DeGolier, 32, of Mayville, was sentenced to 12 months in jail for third-degree burglary consecutive to 6 months in jail for petit larceny.
Wayne A. Lawrence, 37, of North Collins, was sentenced to 5 years probation, a $3,000 fine, 60 months ignition interlock device and 1 year driver’s license revocation for felony driving while intoxicated.
