Fredonia man arrested after firing shot

A Fredonia man is being held by police after he allegedly shot a gun at a person trying to leave his property.
According to Fredonia Police tonight, Ronald A. Duman Jr., 24, of 66 Center St., allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at a victim outside his house around 9:30 a.m. The victim and his friends tried to leave the residence in vehicles when Duman allegedly pointed the gun toward them and fired, missing the vehicle.
Police located Duman in a vehicle near the residence around 7 p.m. and he was taken into custody. Officers recovered the handgun allegedly used in the earlier shooting.
Duman was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a Class D felony; first-degree menacing, a Class E felony; and second-degree possession of a weapon, a Class C felony. He is being held in police lockup pending arraignment.
