Joyce Boothe, 82, formerly of Emerald Hills, Salamanca, New York died Sunday (March 17, 2013) at the Lake Shore Health Care Center, Silver Creek, New York. Born on May 14, 1930 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lena Metzler Yonaka. She was married in Bradford in 1968 to Mr. Myron D. Boothe who predeceased her on October 4, 2001 She was employed at the former Sugar Bowl in Salamanca, New York and McCrory’s in Bradford, Pa.Mrs. Boothe was a member of the former Christian Missionary & Alliance Church, Salamanca, New York. She enjoyed gospel music and serving The Lord. Surviving are: two sons:
James (Ellen) Neal, Salamanca, New York; Stephen (Christina) Boothe, Silver Creek, New York; 11 grandchildren; eight great
grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Leaskey, Salamanca, New York; a brother, Robert Yonaka; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, John Neal, and a brother, Wayne Yonaka Private visitation, funeral and committal services will
be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral services are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York. Burial will be in Wild-wood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York. E-condolences can be sent to
