Sinclairville – Mildred Scott McKinney, 99 formerly of Sinclairville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Heritage Village, Gerry.
Born March 10, 1914, daughter of the late Ralph and Isabell Frost Scott. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School, attended Fredonia State Teachers College and received her nursing education at WCA nursing school.
Mildred was a nurse at St. Vincent’s, Dunkirk and also at the former Newton Center, Cassadaga. She moved to Pinellas Park, FL providing private nursing. In 1972 she returned to Sinclairville to be with family and friends.
Mildred will be remembered as a kind and caring person.
Mother of Duane (Marilyn) McKinney of Great Valley, Alan (Remy) McKinney of Wesley Chapel, FL, Maureen “Molly” (Warren) Nutt of Maple Springs and the late Richard McKinney (May 13, 2009); Mother in law of Gayle McKinney of Kabob; grandmother of, Michael and Brandon McKinney, Patricia Robinson, Julie Dunderdale, Laura Hall, James Nutt, Ellen Heffron, Scott and Christopher McKinney and the late Sheryll McKinney Miranda; great grandmother of 12; sister of the late Winifred Gane, Kenneth and Warren Scott. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
A family graveside service will be held at Ever-green Cemetery, Sinclair-ville at the convenience of the family. No visitation will be observed.
