Church to sponsor 1,000 Easter egg hunt

As part of its Easter celebration, Christ Community Church, 219 Berry Road, Fredonia, will hold a 1,000 Easter egg hunt on the church grounds Saturday, March 30.

The egg hunt is open to all children in the community fifth grade and under. Younger children will have their own area for the egg hunt.

Children will also get the chance to make a craft and get a snack.

Children should dress appropriately for the weather. If necessary the hunt will be moved indoors.

United Methodist Women meet

KENNEDY – On March 16, the Kennedy United Methodist Women hosted Breakfast and Communion Service at their church. The theme was “A Cup of Cold Water in Jesus’ Name and Rivers of Refreshing Water.” Pastor Jennifer Delahoy was the speaker.

A similar-themed service was held at Little Valley UMC with speaker Bonnie Hurley the same day, and on March 9 the program was at Christ First Jamestown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Natalie Hanson as speaker.

On May 18 at 9:30 a.m. a “Spiritual Life Retreat” at Camp Findley is available to all United Methodist women and guests.

Rzepkowski to speak

LILY DALE – The Church of the Living Spirit will feature guest speaker Dr. Neal Rzepkowski at the Sunday service. It will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue, Lily Dale.
