The Resource Center welcomes two physician assistants
The Resource Center’s Primary Care Office recently expanded its capacity by hiring two physician assistants, Emily Herman and Ryan Mayle.
Herman is a registered physician assistant-certified who obtained her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Duquesne University. She came to The Resource Center through the National Health Service Corps. Her areas of interest include anatomy and physiology.
While at The Resource Center, Herman hopes to become well versed in primary care medicine and broaden her scope of practice.
Mayle obtained his master of science degree in physician assistant studies from DeSales University after earning a bachelor degree in psychology from Grove City College
The native of Erie, Pa., he joined The Resource Center because he wanted to return to the Western New York/Western Pennsylvania area and join a primary care clinic.
Mayle’s areas of interest include hematology, cardiology and diabetes management, and it is his goal to provide compassionate care to all of his patients.
Mayle and Herman join a practice that features Dr. Mumtaz Karimi, Dr. Adnan Munir and Dr. Thomas Putnam. The Resource Center’s Primary Care has been recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a designation given to the most innovative primary medical care programs that provide the highest quality care to their patients.
“The Resource Center has a long-standing commitment to providing quality health care services to the Chautauqua County region. The addition of Emily and Ryan to our team of highly qualified physicians and other professionals will help us to better serve our patients and the community,” said Steve Riczker, TRC’s director of health and health-related services. “We are very appreciative that they have chosen to work with us as we continue growing our practice”
The Resource Center’s Primary Care Office is located at 890 East Second Street in Jamestown. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
