Dunkirk students promote acceptance
Pictured, second from right, is Jessica Hochstine, with three Dunkirk Special Olympic athletes. Thanks to her hard work, more than 200 high school students joined in the national campaign pledging to stop using the “R word” and to promote acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. “End the R word” is an ongoing national campaign, sponsored by Special Olympics and Best Buddies International. Dunkirk High School continues to be proud of their ongoing culture of acceptance and inclusion of all.
