Medicor Associates of Fredonia is a medical group consisting of doctors specializing in internal medicine, vascular medicine, cardiology and gastroenterology with offices in Fredonia, Dunkirk, Angola and Silver Creek.
The Fredonia diagnostic center offers complete cardiovascular services that include nuclear stress testing, pacemaker evaluation and complete diagnostic ultrasound for carotid artery and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Bishop, who is board-certified in vascular medicine, oversees the vascular services at Hamot Heart Institute of Fredonia or HHI. Complete medical nuclear and general ultrasound, bone density evaluation for osteoporosis and physical therapy services are also available.
At the Dunkirk office Dr. Alam offers gastroenterology services including colon, esophageal and stomach cancer screening as well as evaluation and emergency endoscopic procedures for acute bleeding (at Brooks Hospital).
In addition, both Dunkirk and Fredonia offices offer urologists, vascular surgeons specializing in stroke prevention and treatment and orthopedic back surgeons.
At the Silver Creek and Angola Office Doctors Roth and Barnes, doctors of osteopathic medicine and Dr. Chaudry, a cardiologist provide full services that include general internal medicine, upper endoscopy and colon cancer screening and cardiovascular testing (Silver Creek office). That particular office offers evening hours for their patients several days a week.
All physicians are board-certified by their respective boards, American Board of Internal Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Vascular Medicine and American College of Cardiology. Doctors Bartholomew and Landis co-direct the Perioperative Internal Medicine Clinic located at the Buffalo VA for the internal medicine residency program. They are experts in the field of perioperative medicine and active both locally and nationally as part of SPAQI (Society for Perioperative assessment and Quality Improvement.) In addition several of our internists are also faculty at SUNY University at Buffalo Medical School. The Fredonia office is a designated CAP site (community academic practice site) as part of the university’s internal medicine residency program.
