County Planning Board meets April 9
The next meeting of the Chautauqua County Planning Board has been scheduled for April 9 at 4 p.m. at the Boomerang Cafe, 897 Southwestern Drive, Jamestown.

Barbecue at Brocton Legion Sunday
The American Legion Auxiliary of Brocton Post 434, 110 W. Main St., will hold a chicken and rib barbecue dinner on Sunday, April 7, from noon until dinners are sold out. Tickets are $9 presale and $10 at the door. Presale tickets are available from auxiliary members or at Post 434. Presale dinners must be picked up by 1:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit community projects.
Village of Gowanda announces trash pickup days
The village of Gowanda has announced the dates for trash pickup. The first date will be Monday, April 8 with pickup also on Monday, July 8 and Monday, Oct. 14. No TVs, monitors or tires will be picked up. No refrigerators, air conditioners or dehumidifiers will be picked up unless a certificate of removal is applied from a licensed New York State DEC technician. Eight tires per year can be disposed of at the wastewater treatment plant on the first Saturday of each month. Residents must get a card at no cost to residents from Village Hall allowing the disposal of tires. Only 10 items will be accepted per household per pickup.
Silver Creek workshop to begin early
The Silver Creek Village Board will hold its workshop meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the village hall. The Swearing in of officials and organizational meeting will immediately follow the workshop.
