STOCKTON – Kenneth L. Marsh, 87, of Stockton-Hartfield Road, Stockton, died peacefully in his sleep, Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Heritage Park, Jamestown.

Born Jan. 4, 1926, in Cold Springs, son of the late Carl and Wilma Osgood Marsh. A Chautauqua County resident most of his life, he was a 1943 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Ken was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronic Technicians Mate 1st Class.

He was a self-employed farmer for many years and was also employed in maintenance for several com-panies including: Stockton Pallet Factory, Koch’s Brewery, Kraft Foods and as a custodian and bus driver at Cassadaga Valley Central School. He also worked in logging, sold firewood and was a bartender at several clubs.

Life member of Stockton VFD and Fredonia Beaver Club, he also was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion #1280, Eagles Club and Loyal Order of Moose, holding various offices.

Husband of 40 years to the late Margaret Mason Marsh, whom he married June 28, 1946 and died April 23, 1986; father of Linda Marsh Pope of Portland, OR, James R. (Celeste) Marsh of Jamestown, David (Brenda) Marsh and Priscilla M. (William) Shaw, all of Fredonia, Patricia (Hank Caldwell) Marsh of Los Lu-nas, NM, Susan M. (Marvin) DeGolier of Stockton, Kenneth R. (Kathy) Marsh of Smyrna, TN, and Tina A. Marsh of Scottsville; grandfather of 20; great-grandfather of 17; brother of Dolores (Late Burton) Muzzy of Jamestown, Larry (Late Marlene) Marsh of Stockton, Roger (Ethel) Marsh of Cassadaga, and the late Bessie Sischo Kelley, Clair “Blackie”, John (Lucile of Sinclairville), Howard, Gordon (Alice of Stockton), Carl (Geraldine of Brocton) and Paul Marsh. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
