Brocton American Legion Auxiliary chicken and rib dinner Sunday

The American Legion Auxiliary of Brocton Post 434, 110 W. Main St., will hold a chicken and rib barbecue dinner on Sunday from noon until dinners are sold out.

Tickets are $9 presale and $10 at the door. Presale tickets are available from auxiliary members or at Post 434. Presale dinners must be picked up by 1:30 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit community projects.

Relay for Life ‘fun’draiser at Pizza Hut Monday

April 21 Priests’ Appreciation Dinner tickets said going fast

Charles St. George, chairman for the Priests’ Appre-ciation Dinner to be held on April 21, states that there are only 30 tickets left. They may be obtained by calling St. George at 672-4432. As of this date, 13 priests are scheduled to attend.

Cassadaga may flush hydrants today

Hydrants in Cassadaga were not flushed on Wednessday as scheduled because of the cold weather. Street supervisor Thomas Fetter said that the hydrants may be flushed this morning if the weather is warm enough. In that case, residents can expect roily water.

Village of Gowanda announces trash pickup days

Gowanda has announced the dates for trash pickup. The first date is Monday with pickup also on July 8 and Oct. 14. No TVs, monitors or tires will be picked up. No refrigerators, air conditioners or dehumidifiers will be picked up unless a certificate of removal is applied from a licensed New York State DEC technician. Eight tires per year can be disposed of at the wastewater treatment plant on the first Saturday of each month. Residents must get a card at no cost to residents from Village Hall allowing the disposal of tires. Only 10 items will be accepted per household per pickup.

Reed’s staff to be

in Dunkirk Tuesday

Congressman Tom Reed’s staff will hold remote office hours Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Dunkirk City Hall, 342 Central Ave. in Dunkirk.

Reed’s staff will be on the second floor of the Dunkirk City Hall April 9 to answer any questions and gather feedback and concerns from constituents. Whether it’s a Social Security, Medicare, veterans or any other question or concern with a federal government agency, Congressman Reed’s staff will be available to help.

County Salary Review Commission meeting April 11 in Mayville

There will be a Chautauqua County Salary Review Commission meeting on April 11 in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, Mayville, at 5:45 p.m. to review and recommend the salaries of all elected officials except those whose salaries are established directly or indirectly by state law. The public is invited to attend.

Public Access Channel 12 would like to rebroadcast some of its archived shows that were recorded in previous years. It would like the viewers to have some input on what archived shows they would like to see.
