Helen D. Fetter

Helen D. Fetter, 88, formerly of New Road, Dunkirk and Fredonia Place, died Tuesday (April 2, 2013) at the Chautauqua County Home following a short illness.

She was born March 17, 1925 in Sheridan, daughter of the late John P. and Katherine (Kopacz) Krupinski.

Helen worked various jobs at the Timken Roller Bearings Factory in Columbus, Ohio during World War II; Van Raalte Corporation; and local restaurants as a waitress.

Survivors include her son, David Fetter of Jamestown, NY; a sister, Sister Monica Krupinski SSJ of Clarence, NY; brothers John J. Krupinski of Fredonia and Henry Krupinski of Silver Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Fetter, whom she married Jan. 15, 1954 and who died Aug. 24, 2005; six brothers, Anthony, Michael, Peter, George, Frank and Joseph Krupinski; and four sisters, Agnes Krupinski, Mary Mattinsly, Sister Victoria SSJ, Stephine Mahoney.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials in Helen’s memory may be made to the Resource Center, 200 Dunham St., Jamestown, NY 14701 or a charity/organization of your choice. Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
