Music Salon Series to feature trio

JAMESTOWN – On Sunday, April 14 at 7 p.m., Mna’ Tri’ will perform at the Music Salon Series at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Jamestown, 1255 Prendergast Ave. Mna’ Tri’ consists of Ann Mead flute, Victoria Hanson cello and Joan Eighmey piano.

Mna’ Tri’ has been performing for the past five years. Mead has a master’s degree in music education from SUNY Fredonia, Hanson has a bachelor’s degree in cello from Duquesne University, and Joan Eighmey has a master’s degree in piano performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music.

Mna’ Tri’ will perform “The Harp of the Dagda” by James Sclater, retired professor of composition at Mississippi College, a piece the trio commissioned. This season’s program, in addition to “The Harp of the Dagda” includes “The Gardens of Anna Maria Luisa de Medici” by Hilary Tann, “Voces de mi Tierra” by Elisenda Fabregas, and “Three Dances” by Scott Joplin.
