Several Chautauqua County arts events set for this weekend

North Shore Arts Alliance, Inc., invites the community to three art events this weekend in Chautauqua County.

Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. is the opening reception for “Comfort Zones: Places of Joy and Solitude,” a one-woman show by Audrey Kay Dowling. The show runs April 12 through May 22 at the 3rd on 3rd Art Gallery, Chautauqua County Arts Council, 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. A $5 donation is requested at the reception to help with programming for the Arts Council.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the 2013 Wine and Art Event. This free event features painting demonstrations, new art and a chance to talk with participating artists.Visit for a list of participating artists and their locations.

Saturday is also the Final Week Reception for “Heart to Heart,” works by Robert John Holland, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Sensory Winery and Art Gallery 10593 W. Main Road, Ripley.

“Depth Perception,” North Shore Arts Alliance themed exhibition, with a reception Friday, April 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. Artists of the North Shore Arts Alliance interpret the concept of depth in all its spatial, emotional, and intellectual implications in an exhibition of works at Sensory Wine and Art Gallery, Ripley. Gallery hours are Friday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail 2013 Open Studio Tour, two weekends – Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-26 and June 1-2.The Wine and Art event is the first chance to pick up one of the 2013 Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail brochures. The brochure is also available for download at the Art Trail’s recently updated website, where details on the event can be found:
