Poloncarz, CSEA announce tentative agreement

BUFFALO – Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz was joined Wednesday by Robert Mueller, Labor Relations Specialist for the Civil Service Employees Association in announcing that a tentative agreement for a new contract between Erie County and the CSEA Erie County White Collar Unit has been reached. Union leadership will be meeting with members early next week to discuss the tentative agreement, with ballots going in the mail after that.

“This process has been difficult, and the County recognizes the effort put forth by the CSEA bargaining team in reaching this tentative agreement,” said Poloncarz. “This agreement is a good deal going forward for all involved, and will strengthen Erie County in the long term. I urge CSEA membership to read through the proposed agreement and become familiar with the terms and the benefits to themselves and their families before making a yes or no decision.”

“CSEA feels that this is a fair and equitable agreement for all of our members, and we are hopeful that our members will ratify this agreement,” said Mueller.
