Pine Valley Central School seeking Wall of Fame nominations

SOUTH DAYTON – The Pine Valley Central School District Wall of Fame Committee is seeking nominations for induction in 2014 into the Pine Valley Wall of Fame.

The purpose of this program is to honor graduates from Pine Valley Central School, living or deceased, who have distinguished themselves in a specific field of endeavor, in civic affairs, in humanitarian affairs, or in activities which merit special recognition.

It is the committee’s hope that future graduates see in these inductees people worthy of emulation. The committee believe the Wall of Fame helps instill a sense of pride in the community while sharing in the successes of past graduates.

Applications can be obtained on the website: www.pval.org or by contacting the Superintendent’s Office at 988-3293 extension 3307. A nominating committee of administrators, staff and community residents will select the inductees from applications submitted by members of the public. Nominations will be accepted until Jan. 31.

Recognition of the recipient(s) will take place at the high school graduation ceremony on June 29, 2014 with a brunch to be held prior to graduation for family and friends. The honoree(s) will receive a plaque with a brief description of their accomplishments. A duplicate plaque will be permanently placed on the Wall of Fame at the Pine Valley Central High School.

Additionally, the committee is looking for individuals who would be willing to serve on the Wall of Fame selection committee. If you are interested, contact Superintendent Pete Morgante at 988-3293 ext. 3399.
