Silver Creek stays undefeated, tops Salamanca 18-11

SALAMANCA – Sherman Williams netted six goals and added three assists as the undefeated Silver Creek Black Knights defeated Salamanca, 18-11, Thursday in high school lacrosse action.

Brennan White added four goals and two assists while Zeddie Williams had three goals and five assists. Kaine Kettle added two goals and as many assists and Owen Tallchief netted three goals in the win.

“Zeddie won a lot of draws,” Silver Creek coach Bill Brennan said. “He helped start good transition. The boys kept their compsure and worked the ball around. They were patient and were waiting for the right opportunity to attack.”

Chase Scanlan was the winning goalie with 10 saves.

“My defense played well,” Brennan noted. “I think this team is working off the defense and our young goalie who made som big saves early and we fed off that.”

The Black Knights return to action Wednesday at Nichols.
