Tops Friendly Markets wins CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity’s Business of the Year Award
WILLIAMSVILLE – Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in upstate New York, northern Pennsylvania and western Vermont, announced today that the company has won CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity’s (CenterState CEO’s) Business of the Year Award in the ‘more than 50 employee’ category. The award celebrates companies that have achieved growth, and gone above and beyond in the past year to distinguish themselves as leaders in the business community.
Tops was among three finalists selected for the 50-plus employee category. Selection criteria included: provider of choice; employer of choice; financial performance; innovation and commitment to the community. The final selection was made by a committee of community business leaders and the award was presented at CenterState CEO’s Annual Meeting, held on April 8 at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center in Syracuse.
