Blessed Mary Angela to host Parish Life Open House

Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Church in Dunkirk will be holding a Parish Life Open House to be held in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the beatification of Blessed Mary Angela on Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m., at the St. Hyacinth Church lyceum on Lake Shore Drive East and on Sunday, April 21 at noon at the St. Hedwig social center on Townsend Street.

Representatives from over 20 parish ministries will be in attendance showcasing what they have to offer to the parish and how parishioners can become more involved. Light refreshments will be served.

Find bargains at church rummage sale

WESTFIELD – The Westfield United Methodist Church will be holding its spring rummage, clothing and bake sale on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. The event kicks off on Friday, running from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a bag sale starting at noon.

Church to hold chicken barbecue

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish’s annual chicken barbecue will be held Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. until sold out in the parish hall, located in the NCCS School building. Pre-sale tickets are available for $8, with the last day for pre-sale being April 22. At the door tickets will be $9, a child’s portion is also available.

The menu includes a half barbecue chicken, barbecue baked beans, dilled/buttered baby red potatoes, roll and butter, beverage and home made desserts. There will also be a gift raffle, with prizes from the Buffalo Sabres and Jim Kelly, former quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. All are welcome. For pre-sale tickets, call the rectory at 366-1750.

St. Joseph Parish plans spaghetti dinner

A spaghetti and meatball dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 1 beginning at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 145 E. Main St. in Fredonia. Tickets are available at the door for $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under. Take-outs are available for the same price. There will be a cash give-away with prizes totaling $500 and themed basket drawings. Everyone is welcome, and community members are encouraged to bring friends and family members.
