SUNY Fredonia film series explores environmental issues for Earth Week

Five critically acclaimed documentaries that examine major environmental issues will be presented during the Earth Week Environmental Film Series at SUNY Fredonia on Saturday, at 101 Jewett Hall.

The films, selected based on their ability to raise awareness of the breadth of sustainability issues, their respective topics and screen times are:

“For The Next 7 Generations,” about healing Earth, noon; “Bitter Seeds,” GMOs and food issues, 2 p.m.; “Trashed,” over-consumption, 4 p.m.; “Plastic Shores,” plastic pollution, 6 p.m.; and “Chasing Ice,” global climate change, 8 p.m.

Admission to all films is free and open to the public. The series is sponsored by the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation Environmental Fund and NRG.
