Conley pitches Lake Shore to win over East Aurora
ANGOLA – Christ Conley did it all for Lake Shore (3-2, 2-0) Wednesday, as the senior tossed a two-hit shutout while adding two hits and an RBI at the plate, as the Eagles beat East Aurora, 5-0, in ECIC Division 3 baseball action.
The Eagles scored a run in the bottom of the first, two in the third and one each in the fourth and fifth to earn their second league win of the season.
Conley plated R.J. Mancini with his RBI single in the first, Billy Pinter drove in Conley on a single for the Eagles’ first run in the third, before Matt Kardach added an RBI sacrifice fly for a 3-0 lead. Tyler Freeman scored on a bases-loaded passed ball for a 4-0 lead in the fourth while Tyler Mascio scored on Dane Cala’s RBI single in the fifth for the final run of the game.
Mascio finished with two hits, as did Conley, who struck out seven and walked two on the hill.
